Homework Connection
Weekly Schedule

Homework for the Week
**The Reading Home Connection Folder should not be completed in one sitting**
The purpose of homework is a little on-going practice each day to practice skills and concepts previously learned.
** Remember to model and guide your child through each assignment.
**Each assignment reviews letter, skills and concepts that we have completed the previous week.
** Save your child's "Take Home Book" for on going practice of our High Frequency Words.  Remember to return the "Take Home Book Reading Incentive" on Friday for your child to have a chance to go to the Treasure Box! :)

** A little practice each day.. 15-20 minutes /day. ;)

Enjoy! :)

Math Homework Folder
Reminder** Please Return your child's Math Homework folder each Monday (Tuesday, if Monday is a holiday).  Remember, you are your child's guide and "Homework Helper".  Make a specific time for homework and provide your child with a quiet place to work (example: no T.V or music playing).  Encourage your child to talk about what is happening when completing the homework practice and have fun while completing it.  Encourage your child to explain how they came to that answer.   Remember, a little each day will help your child in practicing and remembering skills and concepts that were introduced and will aid in building on to them.  Remember, your assistance and guidance is vital to your child's learning.
** Thank You for being a partner in your child's education. :)

Special Note:  If you ever have any questions about a specific Homework Assignment or skill whether it is in Reading or Math, please don't hesitate to ask.  You can reach me by email klis@pittsfield.net or by phone 499-9554.  I would happy to meet with any parent who may need guidance or assistance.

** Special Note** There are 86,400 seconds in a day.  Take the time to use a few of them to laugh and play! :))**
